Detective

The Moscow Museum of Modern Art hosted the exhibition ‘Detective’, which interpreted works by contemporary Russian artists through structures and genre specifics of whodunits and crime literature. ‘Detective’ suggested a new perspective on the creative process of young artists. The search for meaning in individual works implied an immersive attention to their juxtaposition and particularities of their immediate environment.
The exhibition space was defined by an endless translucent curtain. Interrupting and at times dominating the rooms in an almost impudent manner, the curtain created a sense of viscosity and uncertainty, with a speck of danger.
