Prior to&nbsp;choosing contemporary art as&nbsp;the main direction for the future of&nbsp;this project, it&nbsp;was necessary to&nbsp;explore the context, understand potential competitors, and to&nbsp;determine a&nbsp;unique vector of&nbsp;development. The work was separated into several stages: a&nbsp;study of&nbsp;art activities following the example of&nbsp;major cultural capitals, local experience (which includes the dynamics of&nbsp;development before and after the economic crisis), a&nbsp;comparative analysis of&nbsp;international and local experience of&nbsp;art institutions, the city context, and competitive environment
