An&nbsp;optimal solution would be&nbsp;to&nbsp;reincarnate the vernacular five wall log house as&nbsp;a&nbsp;new structural unit. The elongated strip of&nbsp;land would cut costs on&nbsp;road construction. A&nbsp;selection of&nbsp;modular decorative elements could be&nbsp;combined in&nbsp;countless compositions to&nbsp;enliven an&nbsp;otherwise identical housing typology.
